Curious about weaving, but not ready to invest in a loom? Want a new way to enjoy and showcase your yarn stash? In this beginner level class, we’ll use an embroidery hoop as a loom to create a decorative textured wall hanging. We’ll cover the introductory three W’s : warp, weft and weave. Whether you’re experienced in other fiber crafts or never touched yarn in your life, you’ll love exploring this simple and intuitive process to make your own unique woven art piece.
Students supplies: Please bring a pair of scissors and a large-eyed yarn sewing needle, if you have them. You’re also welcome to bring any items you want to include in your weaving, such as ribbon or strips of cloth.
Embroidery hoops and a selection of weaving yarns will be provided.
Enrollment: Class is limited to 6 people unless approved by the instructor. Enrollment must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the first class to ensure there is a space for you. You can sign up in the store, online, or by phone (817)731-5044.
If you need to cancel your class registration, you will be issued store credit for the class amount if you give us a week or more notice. If given less than a week and we can fill your spot in the knitting class, you will be issued store credit for the class amount.
If there are less than 4 students in a class, the class may be cancelled one day prior and store credit will be issued for the class fee.
Missed single classes cannot be made up or credited towards a future class.
