Frame Loom Weaving
June 9 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm$35
Registration Deadline: Friday June 7 5:00 pm
Instructor: Kristen Cathy
Time: Sunday Afternoon from 1pm to 4pm
Date: June 9
In this beginner level weaving class, you’ll learn tapestry style weaving on a frame loom to create a textured piece of woven art. No prior weaving or yarn crafting experience is necessary. We’ll cover the process from start to finish, including how to set up and warp your loom, weave your piece, and remove your work from the loom. There are infinite possibilities for displaying your finished tapestry weaving, such as hanging as wall art or sewing on to a bag or pillow.
Students supplies: Please bring a pair of scissors and a large-eyed yarn sewing needle, if you have them. You’re also welcome to bring any items you want to include in your weaving, such as ribbon or strips of cloth. Loaner looms will be available or you’re welcome to bring your own lap-sized frame loom. A selection of weaving yarns will be provided.
Enrollment: Class is limited to 6 people unless approved by the instructor. Enrollment must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the first class to ensure there is a space for you. You can sign up in the store, online, or by phone (817)731-5044.
If you need to cancel your class registration, you will be issued store credit for the class amount if you give us a week or more notice. If given less than a week and we can fill your spot in the knitting class, you will be issued store credit for the class amount.
If there are less than 4 students in a class, the class may be cancelled one day prior and store credit will be issued for the class fee.
Missed single classes cannot be made up or credited towards a future class.
