Knitted skirts are becoming wardrobe staples—and they’re a lot easier to knit than you might think (they require just three to four skeins of sock yarn)! Take Two is a pleated skirt with negative ease that is easy to wear.

About 1800 yards fingering-weight yarn (note: for best results, choose a yarn that’s at least 75% wool); size US 3 (3.25mm): 24″ circular needle and/or appropriate needles for knitting a gauge swatch in the round ; stitch markers, 1″ elastic for waist band, needle and thread for sewing elastic together.
Note: gauge is 30 sts and 44 rnds = 4″ (10 cm) in St st, worked in rounds, after blocking. You may need to use a US 1 or US 2 needle depending on your knitting tension.
