Skills Level: Intermediate – Must know how to knit and purl. Will learn to carry the contrasting color, increase stitches, etc.
Pattern: Asti Spumante Tee by Thea Coleman (pattern may be purchased in advance on Ravelry or at the shop for an additional $8.00)
The Asti Spumante Tee is all about mixing texture and color. It is a loose fitting, easy pullover, the kind of sweater works in almost any season. Worked from the bottom up and separated into front and back at sleeves, it’s easy to modify for either length or width. The twisted cables make a beautifully textured fabric, and the color within each cable adds a new twist to an otherwise simple, cabled tee.

Accent Yarn
Approximately 75(100,100,150,150)(175, 175,200,200)yds/70(90,90,140,140)(160,160,180,180) meters light worsted weight yarn in contrasting shade.
Notions
Stitch markers, stitch holder, tapestry needle.
Needles
US#5/3.75mm for ribbing around hem, collar and cuffs.
US#6/4mm needles for rest of sweater, or size to get gauge. I suggest 32”/81.25cm or longer needles for body and shorter length needles for collar and cuffs.
Gauge
22 sts and 28 rounds per 4”/10cm in 2×2 rib on #5/3.75mm needle.
Approx. 24 sts and 28 rounds per 4”/10cm in cable pattern on US#6/4mm needle.
Gauge is based on final, blocked fabric.

Homework: Please come to class with a 4 inch X 2 inch swatch in ribbing on smaller needle. Also make a 4 inch X 4 inch swatch on the larger needle in pattern.
Class policies:
Enrollment: Class is limited to 8 people unless approved by the instructor. Enrollment must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the first class to ensure there is a space for you. You can sign up in the store, online, or by phone (817)731-5044.
Cancellations:
Although we do not require payment until the day of the class, please check your schedule and only register if you fully intend to attend the class. We know that emergencies happen, so if you need to cancel your class registration, please let us know as soon as possible so that someone else can fill your spot. If you need to miss a class that is in a series of classes, please consult directly with the instructor.
If less than 4 students sign up for a class, the class may be cancelled the evening before. You will be notified via the email address that you use to check out with.
