Knit or crochet any “Tee Shirt” style top this summer (June 1 through August 31) and join us at W7W for tasty treats, a fashion show and good company at a special Tea Party Show and Tell on Sunday, September 6 from 2 to 4pm.
Please send us an email: info@west7thwool.com to RSVP by August 30, 2026.
Every summer at West 7th Wool, we celebrate one of our favorite traditions — our annual Summer Tea Party.
From June through August, we host a go-at-your-own-pace knit along/crochet along to create lightweight garments using beautiful plant-based yarns like cotton, linen, bamboo, and silk blends. Throughout the summer, makers gather in the shop, share progress, swap ideas, encourage each other, and enjoy the slower rhythm of warm-weather stitching.
The goal? To create something you can actually wear during a Texas summer — breezy tops, tanks, tees, wraps, and lightweight layers that feel as beautiful to make as they do to wear.
At the end of the season, we gather together for a special celebration where everyone wears their handmade summer pieces to our annual tea party. It’s one of the most joyful days of the year in the shop.
The shop fills with handmade garments, laughter, teacups, desserts, and conversations about favorite patterns, unexpected challenges, and the pride that comes from making something with your own hands. Some attendees are experienced garment makers. Others are finishing their very first summer top. Every project is celebrated.
What makes this tradition so meaningful isn’t just the knitting or crochet itself — it’s the community built along the way.
Stop by the shop to explore our favorite warm-weather yarns, get help choosing a pattern, and connect with others participating in the event.
We can’t wait to see what you create — and we especially can’t wait to celebrate with you at the tea party.
