Tiny leaves spring up all over this hat in a subtle rhythm\, creating a very feminine accessory. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSIZE: one size fits most adultsFINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 18”(46cm) circumference & 9.5”(24cm) longYARN: 1 skein of Malabrigo Sock; 100% Merino Wool; 440yd/402m; 100g/3.5ozNEEDLES: US1.5 (2.5mm) & US3 (3.25mm) circular needles each 22” (56cm) & set of five US3 (3.25mm) double-pointed needles (dpns)\, OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGENOTIONS: cable needle\, stitch marker\, tapestry needle \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass Overview \n\n\nTwo class sessions \n\n\nStudents will learn the Dorilton lace pattern. \n\n\nStudents will learn learn how to read a chart\, where the number of stitches is not consistent and change through rounds of the pattern’s vertical repeat. \n\n\nStudents will be shown a few ways how to do a single cable crossing without the use of a cable needle. \n\nStudents will be guided through shaping the crown of the hat and blocking\n\n\nStudents will be shown multiple samples of the Dorilton lace hat design in an array of fibers and colors as inspirational pieces for future projects. \n  \n\n\nClass Homework \n\n\nStudents will need to Cast On CO 140 sts\, using German Twisted Cast On (or any other stretchy cast on method) and to complete 2” ribbing using US1.5 (2.5mm) 16” long needles. Ribbing = * k1 tbl\, p1\, rep from * to end.  Click here for German Twisted Cast On video. \n\n\nStudents need to know how to cast on in the round\, “knit”\, “purl”\, “yarn over” and basic “cable” stitches \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass policies: Enrollment: Class is limited to 10 people unless approved by the instructor. Enrollment must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the first class to ensure there is a space for you. (And to confirm your lunch order – menu options will be sent by email one week before the class). You can sign up in the store\, online\, or by phone (817)731-5044.  \nCancellations: If you need to cancel your class registration\, you will be issued store credit for the class amount if you give us a week or more notice. If given less than a week and we can fill your spot in the knitting class\, you will be issued store credit for the class amount.  \nIf there are less than 4 students in a class\, the class may be cancelled one day prior and store credit will be issued for the class fee.  \nMissed Classes:Missed single classes cannot be made up or credited towards a future class.  \n
