Skills Level: Intermediate. Must be comfortable knitting in rounds.
Pattern: Take Two by Ann Budd (pattern provided in class)
Knitted skirts are becoming wardrobe staples—and they’re a lot easier to knit than you might think (they require just three to four skeins of sock yarn)! Take Two is a pleated skirt with negative ease that is easy to wear.
Finished size:
About 303⁄4 (323⁄4, 343⁄4, 363⁄4)” (78 [83, 88.5, 93.5] cm) waist circumference; 34 (36, 38, 40)” (86.5 [91.5, 96.5, 101.5] cm) hip circumference before start of pleats; 493⁄4 (523⁄4, 553⁄4, 583⁄4)” (126.5 [134, 141.5, 149] cm) hem circumference, relaxed; and 20″ (51 cm) length for all sizes.
Supplies:
About 1800 yards fingering-weight yarn (note: for best results, choose a yarn that’s at least 75% wool); size US 3 (3.25mm): 24″ circular needle and/or appropriate needles for knitting a gauge swatch in the round ; stitch markers, 1″ elastic for waist band, needle and thread for sewing elastic together.
Note: gauge is 30 sts and 44 rnds = 4″ (10 cm) in St st, worked in rounds, after blocking. You may need to use a US 1 or US 2 needle depending on your knitting tension.
Class policies:
Enrollment: Class is limited to 8 people unless approved by the instructor. Enrollment must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the first class to ensure there is a space for you. You can sign up in the store, online, or by phone (817)731-5044.
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel your class registration, you will be issued store credit for the class amount if you give us a week or more notice. If given less than a week and we can fill your spot in the knitting class, you will be issued store credit for the class amount.
If there are less than 4 students in a class, the class may be cancelled one day prior and store credit will be issued for the class fee.
Missed Classes:
Missed single classes cannot be made up or credited towards a future class.
