Supplies Needed:
Yarn
100g worsted weight yarn
Sizing
To fit an adult head 22-24 inches in circumference.
Finished Measurements
8 inches wide, 11 inches long (unfolded brim) or 8.5 inches long (folded brim)
Needles
4mm / 6US 16” circular needle
5mm / 8US 16” circular needle
5mm / 8US dpns for decreases
Gauge
Ribbing: 20 stitches per 4 inches in rib pattern (unstretched), using smaller needles
Body: 12 stitches and 7 rows = 2 inches by 1 inch in the cable pattern, using larger needles
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
In this class, Karen will guide you through every part of this hat. From creating a stretchy cast on and knitting in the round to creating crisp cables and finishing decrease stitches, she will be there every step of the way.
Class policies:
Enrollment: Ages 16 and up. Class is limited to 6 people unless approved by the instructor. Enrollment must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the first class to ensure there is a space for you. You can sign up in the store, online, or by phone (817)731-5044. Payment should be made at time of enrollment.
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel your class registration, you will be issued store credit for the class amount if you give us a week or more notice. If given less than a week and we can fill your spot in the knitting class, you will be issued store credit for the class amount.
If there are less than 2 students in a class, the class may be cancelled one day prior and store credit will be issued for the class fee.
Missed Classes:
Missed single classes cannot be made up or credited towards a future class.
